FAQ //
Q: About how much will my commission cost?
A: I highly recommend you read through my price sheet and come up with a good estimation of how much your painting will cost, background and other additions included, before you order. There is also a PayPal fee that usually doesn’t exceed 3%. (This money goes to PayPal, not me. Thieves!)
Q: Can I get a price quote/estimate without ordering?
A: Yes. You will need to send me all information and references to get an accurate price. This action is obligation free.
Q: Do I need picture references?
A: I prefer pictures, but I’ll work with whatever you have. I do not require reference sheets. I can work with real images, drawings, or written descriptions, as long as I can ask questions and take liberties to fill in the blanks.
Q: Should I tip?
A: There will be an option to add a tip when I send you your invoice. I love being tipped, but I put a lot of thought and effort into coming up with prices that best suit my time, so don’t worry about tipping if you don’t want to or can’t afford to.
Q: I don’t have a PayPal account; can I pay another way?
A: Not at the moment, sorry. Payment is exclusively through PayPal invoice.
Q: How long will my painting take to be finished?
A: About a month. In 2018, my average time to complete painting orders was 16 days, with a range of 2-29 days. In 2019, my average was 21 days with a range of 6-39 days. Wait times vary based on complexity of the drawing, school, and my number of outstanding orders. I don’t like to keep customers in the dark, so if I find I haven’t sent any updates in a while, I will let you know what my current situation is.
Q: What if I need my commission done by a certain time?
A: I can work with deadlines. Please only give me a deadline if it is necessary (i.e. for a birthday gift.) Make sure your order is paid for a month in advance of when you need it by, because that’s how much time I’ll need to finish it.
Q: Can I print my commission/use it as an icon or header?
A: Sure! It is 100% yours to do with as you wish. See my terms for additional information on usage.
Q: Can I get a deal or discount on multiple orders or a special project?
A: I love working on larger projects, and since I don’t currently have a cut-and-dry pricing sheet for group orders, you can let me know what it is you’re interested in having done and I would be more than happy to work something out for you. This includes RPG campaign orders, but I would prefer if this was for more than three paintings.
Q: Hey, can I have an update on how my commission is coming?
A: When I will have significant updates for you, I will send them without being prompted. Please don’t ask for updates as I likely will not have them, and it will only make me feel rushed.
Q: Can I add you on Facebook/Snapchat/LinkedIn/Other social media?
A: No.
